Wind shield was used but a little bit of wind exists on the recording with a hpf used to minimise rumble.

Field-recording of a person walking home at night on a road, summer, the sound of footsteps on dry gravel. This recording is edited down from the longer recording in this pack. I reduced it down to footsteps on gravel, removed the car passing sounds, and removed the gate sounds at the end. This recording is 1 minute and 44 seconds long, 18. 4 mb wav file.

I recorded this while searching for farm sounds. On the recording you can hear footsteps in the grass, then the opening of the latch in the gate to the field and then further steps. This short recording was made during a sound search in the scotish border area of scotland. I recorded on the zoom h5 handy recorder, i used superlux headphones. I actually bought it for need of recording four channels of drums sound, but i was completely astonished by its great ability as a field recorder. Wonderful mic preamps, aren't they?.

Recorded at an upstairs open window at 05:30 in april 2020 using a rode mic and a zoom h4n recorder. The usual birds are there plus the call of a pheasant, a resident of the field at the bottom of the garden. There's a low frequency ambient background. I think this was coming from a distant paper mill several miles away.
